There’s no shortage of coverage on the announcement of the Beard Awards. Let me say this quickly: Tartine’s Elisabeth Prueitt and Chad Robertson deserved that nomination in Pastry. Their whole team did (nice job, Nuri!). The fact that they were in the running almost made up for the fact that Traci des Jardins was considered for Best Chef, California. Again.

What a horrible choice.
