anticipate turbulence

I have good people in my life that try to remind me of things like, “invective can erase reasoned argument.” That, and painting “people as retards with a farily broad brush is going to lead to a bit of controversy.”

True that, especially when you wind up getting quoted and linked (without context) on Kottke.

To be honest, I felt bad having used the word “retard” in the first place. I should have stuck with the much less controversial “webtard”. Like it? You should buy the t-shirt.

Hey, everyone slips occasionally with inappropriate language. The fun thing about the internet is you can be guaranteed it will come back to haunt you, in ways you can’t possibly imagine.

Wait… that isn’t fun. Damn internet, it’s all the internet’s fault.

Did you use a 3-Wood when a 9-Iron would have done? Maybe.

But you got on the green – and that was the point really.
